The Haunting of Highdown Hall

Review of The Haunting of Highdown Hall

Ruby Davis comes from a long line of psychics and runs her own business in Lewes Psychic Surveys. Her aim is to bring the work she does to a wider audience showing them just what can be done to help.

Highdown Hall is the former home of actress Cynthia Hart who despite dying in 1958 is still very much in evidence.

But as Ruby soon finds out this case is like no other she has ever had to deal with before.

This is the first book in Shani Struthers Psychic Surveys series, and it was brilliant.

Now way is this is your normal run of the mill ghost story, as the spirit is far from eager to cross over and the reason why is a mystery in itself.

Throw in her three very different freelance colleagues, the spirit of a dog that becomes attached to her and a love interest and you have all the ingredients of a great read.

Oh and let's not forget the mystery surrounding her mother which Ruby is unable to learn.

Trust me I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and if you haven't all ready checked this series out I suggest you do.

Five stars out of Five *****
